The Committee
Take a look at the committee behind Stoney and Friends:
"Allan Stone has been the brains behind "Stoney & Friends" for many years, with all funds raised going to Macmillan Cancer Support. Allan has raised over £330,000 for Macmillan through the support of very generous companies and like minded anglers. "
"Carl is an Intelligence Analyst in the Royal Air Force and the Head of the Fox RAF Carp Angling Association. Carl now lives in Cheshire but has spent many years overseas in countries such as Afghanistan, Bosnia and the more salubrious surroundings of Cyprus. In his spare time he maintains the Stoney’s Website and a couple of forums; now and again he gets to go fishing "
"Mark is a Chief Airframes Technician in the RAF and is possibly the busiest man in NATO. As the Captain of the Fox RAF Carp Angling Team, Stoney and Friends Press Secretary, a national hockey coach/referee and a baliff on Horseshoe, he somehow finds time to apease his long suffering wife and also do a bit of angling "
" Tug was formerly the Stoney’s Press Officer before moving onto the Secretary role. An all-round fisherman and general secretary for the National Anguilla Club. A great deal of his spare time is taken up with angling related subjects. He is passionate about angling and raising funds for Macmillan through Stoney and Friends "
Tug Wilson, Secretary

“Ruth is the owner of Yateley Angling Centre, the well known specimen tackle shop based in Hampshire. In her role as chairwoman of the English Carp heritage Organisation, most of her free time is spent protecting the health and welfare of carp stocks, campaigning against illegal fish movements and creating awareness about serious fish diseases. Ruth’s greatest joy is music, and this additional string to her bow has led to an extension of the Stoney & Friends fundraising team, in the form of the amateur band "Stoney’s Friends".

" Simon is a Chartered Accountant. He started fishing more than 30 years ago; spending time on the Tring reservoirs, Yateley and Frimley in the late 70s. He concentrated on trout fishing for a period but came back to coarse fishing when he moved to Yateley a few years ago. As with many others, his time on the bank is very restricted. He has a strong desire to help Macmillan as they helped his family cope with his father’s illness. "
Simon Hanson, Treasurer

"Jim runs his own print, reprographics and sign business based in Mitcham - Dakota Reprographics. He joined Stoney and Friends initially to help out with equipment storage and any additional printing requirements. One thing led to another and he’s now a regular helper and a committee member. He has been angling all his life and always enjoys putting something back into the sport; helping Stoney & Friends was the best way to do this.."
